Buying an instrument?
Get help from the Arts Council Take it away is a great new scheme from Arts Council England to help spread the cost of buying instruments. It's possible to get up to 2000 as a loan to buy any kind of instrument and repay it completely interest free in 9 installments, with a deposit of 10%.

The loan can also be used to include other equipment and services with your instrument.
So, if the shop offers tuition you could get hold of a guitar with a block of lessons too.

You must be over 18 to apply for a loan but your parent or guardian can use it to buy the instrument for you.
